Yes She is here as you have read in Raul’s post.
Thanks to all who have signed up and posted messages on Facebook. Boy am I tired. I don’t think I have ever been this tired even when I was pulling all nighters at Southern Connecticut State University! But, it is a sweet reward after nine months. All of us have been adjusting to a new member of the family even JuanGa. He has sniffed her pampers and run off with them. It has been a work out for him and for us but he will get to a place where he will be protective of all of us. I have faith in him.
With all of this adjustment comes new aches and pains. Raul has been running around cleaning up the house, chasing the dog, attending to guests, going on errands, and helping in an immense way with Daniela Lucia.
It is amazing and emotional to see (insert post -partum crying HERE) him change diapers and feed her. But on Saturday he wasn’t feeling well and thank goodness Uncle Javier and Grandma Sylvette came from Connecticut to help out. Yesterday he was cleaning the basinet which had little ants trying to invade the baby’s space and bringing my rocking chair downstairs. He started the morning in full force, planning to go to Costco and conquer the lines. All of a sudden I see him and his brother in the garage and saw him moving really slow. I thought he was pulling something. Well he pulled something alright, his back! I guess he was bending down to pick up a cup and boom his back gave out.
So after a rough day his brother bought him Icy Hot patches and Ben Gay. At Daniela’s 5:00 a.m feeding, I noticed the Icy Hot next to the pampers and wipes. I told him that these things happen for a reason. His body is telling him to slow down and take it easy. We have a long journey ahead of us.
